Tidy Towns presented a reed bird feeder and feed to the school during the week to help in their ongoing efforts. On Wednesday April 11 four members of our committee attended the Tidy Towns Seminar in the Woodlands in Adare which was hosted by Limerick City and County Council. The topics covered by speakers were Urban and Village Renewal, The Conscious Cup Campaign (to encourage the use of ceramic cups and to avoid single use plastic cups) and The Climate Ambassador Programme with their Ditch the Disposables Campaign. On Saturday 21 April everyone is encourage to leave all plastic at the supermarket on the items being purchased to emphasise to companies and producers that customers do not want single use plastic. All Tidy Towns groups were complemented on the efforts that had been put into TLC4. We are still looking for more householders to participate in our Greenhomes survey. Once registered it takes only about five minutes. Contact Lyn Nolan (0876119048) if you can help out with it.
