CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word for Saturday August, 19 is Margaret O'Leary and for Sunday August, 20 is John O'Gorman. Ministers of the Eucharist are Eilish Griffin and Mary O'Neill for Saturday. Josephine Horan and Nora Murphy. for Sunday.
ROSE OF TRALEE: By now Kayleigh Maher, our Limerick Rose is in Tralee for the closing stages for selection as this years Rose. She has been busy over the last few weeks visiting various establishments and places throughout the City and County. While she has visited many business houses. She has also found time to visit the elderly in nursing homes and entertained the residents with her friendly conversation. They seem to think that she has all the attributes and qualities to be crowned Rose of Tralee. We are all looking forward and hoping to see Kayleigh on Stage with Daithí Ó Sé on TV as he interviews her with the other contestants. Best of luck Kayleigh, all of Limerick City and County, especially Kilcornan are supporting you.
GLASGOW CELTIC: congratulations to Joey Rushe who has been selected to travel to Glasgow Celtic for trials later this month month, Joey was one of only two players to be picked from the whole Irish squad by chief scout Eugene McGee from Glasgow Celtic. Joey,a complete all rounder in sport, played all his schoolboy soccer with Kilcornan FC and (AK) Adare Kilcornan Utd. He has signed this year to play u15 league of Ireland soccer with limerick FC. We all wish Joey the very best in Glasgow.
