CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word for Saturday June, 3 is Kathleen Hayes and for Sunday June, 4 is Liam Walshe.. Ministers of the Eucharist are Mary O'Neill and Kathleen Hayes for Saturday. Helen Meade and Kathleen Holland for Sunday.
DAWN MASS: Dawn Mass will be celebrated at Saint Brigid's Well in Kilbreedy at 6am on this Sunday June 4. Our thanks as usual to the land owners for this facility.
SYMPATHY: Sympathy is extended to Joy Conway, Curraghcase Garden Centre on the recent death of her dad Dr. John Alexander (Jack) of Dunmurry in Northern Ireland. Jack was laid to rest in his local Cemetery last week and will be sadly missed by wife Beryl, Joy, Jude and Ryan and his extended family. Forever with the Lord.
COMMUNITY PROFILING WORKSHOP: A free workshop for community groups on ‘how to carry out a Community Profile of your area’ will take place at the West Limerick Resources Office on St. Mary’s Road on Tuesday, June 6 from 7:30-9:30pm. Community Profiling involves building up a picture of the nature, needs and resources of a community with the active participation of that community. It is a useful first stage in any community planning process to establish a context which is widely agreed. CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH CLASSES: Are you interested in FREE Conversational English Classes in Newcastle West, to help brush up your English. The classes will take place over 10 weeks on Wednesday evenings at the Community Centre Newcastle West, beginning April 19. MARIGOLD FESTIVAL: The Mid Western Region of Active Retirement Ireland are holding their 4th Marigold Festival in the Radisson Blue Hotel, Ennis Road, Limerick, on Wednesday, June , 7. The Marigold Festival is a celebration of Healthy and Active Ageing in the Mid West Region. There are a wide range of activities going on throughout the day from speakers, exercises, demonstrations, fashion show, best dressed lady and gent competition, entertainment and lots of exhibition stands. There will also be a raffle and spot prizes. It is a day of fun for all ages. The event is open to the general public as well as Active Retirement members. All are welcome. Doors open at 10.00am and the day finishes at approximately 4.30pm. Admission is free.
