LOTTO: The result of the Kilcornan Lotto for Saturday July 30. The Jackpot was not won. Lucky dips drawn were, Pat Henihan, Paul McElligott, John O'Gorman snr and Gerry McDonogh. Next week the Jackpot will be €5,250.00.
CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word for Saturday August 6 is Margaret O'Leary and for Sunday August 7 is Pat McMorrow. Ministers of the Eucharist are Margaret O'Leary and Mary O'Neill for Saturday. Helen Meade and Eilish Griffin for Sunday.
WEDDING BELLS: Congratulations to Sean Rushe, Kilcornan and to Helen McKeogh from Mungret who were married in Adare recently. A great celebration with families, friends and neighbours was held in the Woodlands House Hotel, Adare.
Congratulations to Kieran Hanly, Killeen, Kilcornan and to his Bride, Sinead Cloherty from Nenagh, who were married on July 16 in St. Mary's of the Rosary, Nenagh. The couple along with families and friends celebrated with a wonderful reception in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh.
TABLE QUIZ: There will be a Table Quiz in Kilcornan House on this coming Friday Night in aid of Brú Columbanus. Your support will be appreciated. Full details from Ann in the Coach Inn.
HISTORICAL SOCIETY: Limerick Historical Society will hold its next evening walk on Wednesday 10th August. The historic walk will commence at Barrington’s Hospital, George’s Quay at 7 p.m. The hospital was built in 1830, by the Barrington family of Glenstal, Murroe, at a cost of €10,000. Initially, there will be a talk on the Barringtons and the houses associated with the family. From there we will proceed down Mary Street to take in some sights along the way and we will finish with a guided tour of the North Munster Masonic Centre on Castle Street. Everybody is welcome and there is no charge.
SYMPATHY: Sympathy is extended to the family of Jerry Molyneaux, Ballywilliam, Rathkeale who passed away recently. Jerry was Chairman of the Board of West Limerick GAA, and will be missed by all GAA followers in West Limerick. He is survived by his wife Bernie and loving father to Louise, Caoimhe and Cora, grandson Ronan, mother Nellie, sister, brother and extended family. May he rest in peace.
CÉILI: There will be a Charity Céili in the Resource Centre, Knockaderry on Friday August 5 at 9.30pm to 12.30am all in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Music by the Striolan Céili Band.
