SOCCER CLUB: Congratulation to the Limerick Desmond u15 interleague team who won the Munster u15 Inter League Final in Cork last Sunday. We had four players from our local team AK (Adare/Kilcornan) United on the team, Kevin Walsh, Padraig Hartigan, Cathal Downes and Garrett Sparling which beat Kerry 4 - 0. Our local boys gave a good account of themselves with Cathal Downes scoring goal number four and goalkeeper Kevin Walsh keeping another clean sheet. They now go on to play Mayo in the All Ireland U15 SFAI Semi Final in May and we wish them the very best of luck.
JUNIOR SOCCER: Hard luck to our Junior Soccer Team who were narrowly defeated 3 - 2 by Glin in the Desmond Cup Semi Final on Saturday evening in Askeaton. Despite being two goals up early in the second half we conceded three goals without reply before the end of the game. Well done to the entire panel and management who were punching way above their weight in this cup competition and got to the semi final. Best of luck to them for the rest of the season and hopefully achieve promotion.
