LOTTO: The results for Saturday June 2. The Jackpot was not won. Lucky dips to Kathleen O'Keeffe, Chloe Ryan, Kevin Sheahan and P J O'Connell.. Next week's jackpot will be €4,850. If you wish to buy lotto tickets, please contact any of the following: Liam Meade, Katherine Maher or John Nealon who will organise tickets for you.  €2 each or €20 to be included for 10 weeks, €50 for half year or €100 for full year. Tickets are also on sale at the Beer Garden  in Kildimo.

 

CHURCH: Minister of the word for Saturday June 9 is Edel O'Connell  and for Sunday June 10 is John O'Gorman. The Eucharistic Ministers are Mary O'Neill and Kathleen Hayes for Saturday. Kathleen Holland and Josephine Horan for Sunday.

 

SYMPATHY: Sympathy is extended to the family of Ettie McDonagh (nee Gaynor),  Cowpark, Kilcornan, and Abbot Close Nursing Home, Askeaton, who passed away peacefully on Saturday last, June 2. She will be sadly missed by her husband Gerry, daughters Caroline, Kathleen and Lorraine, sister Annette, sons in law James, Fergus and Sean, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and her many friends and neighbours in Kilcornan. May she rest in peace.
Ettie was laid to rest in Kilcornan after Requiem Mass in  St John the Baptist Church, Kilcornan on Tuesday.


102FM: The Annual General Meeting of West Limerick 102fm Community Radio will take place on Tuesday June 12  in the Desmond Complex Newcastle West  at 8pm . All are welcome.


ADAPT: ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services will hold a collection in County Limerick on June 9 and 10.  ADAPT supports women throughout Limerick County and this collection it vital to keep those supports going in the community as well as in the Refuge in Limerick.


Limerick Historical Society: Limerick Historical Society will hold its next evening walk on Wednesday June 13 next. The historic walk will commence at Merchant’s Quay (outside Limerick Civic Offices) at 7 p.m. and proceed to Curraghgour Boat Club where we will be met by a member. We will conclude with a visit to Saint Mary’s Cathedral, which is celebrating its 850th Anniversary. Everybody is welcome.
