CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word for Saturday March 4  is Catherine Browne and for Sunday March 5 is John O'Gorman.  Ministers of the Eucharist are Mary O'Neill and Ann O'Brien for Saturday. Josephine Horan and Kathleen Holland for Sunday.


ECUMINICAL SERVICE: A  World Day of Prayer Service will be held in St. Mary's Church of Ireland Askeaton on Friday  March 3, 2017 at 8.00 pm. This years service has been prepared by the women of the Philippines and the theme is "Am I Being Unfair to You". This will be of particular interest to the Filippino  members of our Community but everyone will be most welcome to join us for this service.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY: The Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge in Ballingarry is marking International Women's Day on Wednesday 8 March with a special supper night. The menu has been created in collaboration with Sharon Noonan, host of West Limerick 102FM's Best Possible Taste food programme.  Originally from Co Antrim but living in Newcastle West for 11 years, Sharon has chosen some of her favourite ingredients and dishes including the Northern Ireland signature dish "Born and Braised."  It will also feature "Yellowman" as it was a visit to the Mustard Seed that inspired Sharon to make her BAI funded radio documentary "Devlins' Yellowman - A Taste of Childhood".  The 5 course dinner with coffee and petits fours costs €47 per person and booking is essential by contacting the Mustard Seed on 069 68508 or email mustard@indigo.ie
