LOTTO: The result of the Kilcornan Lotto for Saturday December 17. The Jackpot was not won. Lucky dips drawn were, Bobby Foley, Marion Cantillon, Mrs. Quilty, Cian and Chris Enright. Next week's jackpot will be €6,200.00.
Thank you for your support of our local lotto during the past year. We look forward to your continued support for 2017. All profits in our lotto are distributed to local clubs and organisations.


CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word for Saturday December 24 is Kathleen Hayes, and for Sunday December 25 is Pat McMorrow. Ministers of the Eucharist are Ann O'Brien and Kathleen Hayes for Saturday. Kathleen Holland and Josephine Horan for Sunday.
Minister of the word Saturday 31 is Ann McMahon, and for New Year's Day is Eilish Griffin. Ministers of the Eucharist are Kathleen O'Carroll and Ann McMahon for Saturday. Eilish Griffin and Ita O'Shaughnessy for Sunday.

CHURCH CEREMONIES ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHRISTMAS: On Saturday December 24, Christmas Eve, Mass in St. John the Baptist Church at 6pm and again at 8pm. Mass at 11am on Christmas Day. St. Stephen's Day, Mass at 9.30am

CHURCH OF IRELAND: Sunday December 18 at Holy Trinity Church Rathkeale , Carol Parish Group service  at 3pm. Saturday December 24, the First Eucharist of Christmas at 9pm in Castletown. Christmas Day, Eucharist in St. Mary's, Askeaton at 10.30am. New Year's Day, Group Family Eucharist with carols at 11am in St. Mary's Askeaton.

 

COMMUNITY COUNCIL: A note for your diary. Our annual Senior Citizens party will be held on January 15 in the Community Centre. More about this in the New Year.
Kilcornan Community Council would like to wish everyone a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and we look forward to another prosperous New Year. Kilcornan Strictly Come Dancing DVD, an ideal stocking filler for Christmas, if you were not able to attend on the night well now is your chance to watch and see what everyone is talking about, maybe send to family members abroad, DVDs are available at a cost of €10 and are available from Kilcornan Community Centre on Thursday  December 22 from 12pm to 3pm or by contacting any committee member or contacting 087 7781225 

Kilcornan Newsletter was distributed last week in our National School and is available at the moment in Kilcornan Church and Kilcornan House.

 

Shannon Estuary Mud Search and Rescue: Shannon Estuary Mud Search and Rescue would like to thank you for your support over the Year. This year we have been involved in a number of searches from Kerry to Galway and without your support this would not be possible. Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
