LOTTO: The result of the Kilcornan Lotto for Saturday November 19. The Jackpot was not won. Lucky dips drawn were, Gerry McDonagh, Kathleen Mulcair, Eamon Kelly and Bridget Kelly. Next week's jackpot will be €6000.00


CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word for Saturday November 26 is Katie Shiels, and for Sunday 27 is Pat McMorrow. Ministers of the Eucharist are Ann O'Brien and Kathleen O'Carroll for Saturday. Josephine Horan and Kathleen Holland for Sunday.


ST. Vincent de PAUL: The annual Church Gate Collection in aid of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be taken up on Saturday and Sunday December 10 and 11. Please give as generously as you can to this very worthy Charity. Your contribution will make a difference to someone at Christmas and throughout the year..

 

HEALING SERVICE: A Service of healing with Mass will be held in Kilteely Parish Church Co. Limerick on Monday  November 28, at 7.30pm Celebrant. The celebrant will be  Fr. John Keane. Fr. Keane is a native of Youghal Co. Cork and is a Priest in the Diocese of Cloyne. He has spent many years on loan ministering in the missions in South America and Africa and is presently on loan to a group of both clergy and lay people who travel around Ireland giving missions and retreats in different Parishes. He is gifted with a renowned Healing Ministry which many people have experienced. 

 

SAFETY FIRST: The community council are in consultation with members of Limerick County Council with a view to making the area around the entrance to our school,  community centre and sports fields safer for traffic using these facilities. We are hoping that traffic calming measures will be put in place in the near future for safety purposes.

 

STRICTLY COME DANCING: The Strictly Come Dancing event is in the Southcourt Hotel on  this Saturday evening November 26 at 8pm. Our dancers, who have put in an amount of work over the past ten weeks, not only are they performing for us on the night, they also took on the task to raise €200 each worth of sponsorship, and have provided their own outfits for the night as well as all the other costs associated with the performance.
This is a seated function, with a special dance floor, lighting, TVs, MCs, etc.  There is a bar on the night and after we have crowned our Strictly Come Dancing winners there will be a DJ to entertain us into the early hours of the morning.
There is a bus being arranged by the Coach Inn. Our judges are in place and our MC for the evening will be Liam Aherne from Limericks Live 95FM.
The price of the admission is €20 and tickets will be available at the door on the night. We are looking forward to your support, an exciting night, and hopefully you can make it. 


MAIGUE FLOWER AND GARDEN CLUB: The Maigue Flower and Garden Club will hold its Christmas Gala, flower arranging Demonstration on Sunday November 27 in Rathkeale House Hotel at 3pm. The demonstrator will be Sandra Jackson, Floral Artist from Cork. Admission is €10 and there will be a raffle on the door ticket. We look forward to meeting you all.

 

RURAL SOCIAL SCHEME. West Limerick Resources in conjunction with the Department of Social Protection implement the Rural Social Scheme in West Limerick.  The scheme aims to provide part time flexible employment opportunities to low income farmers by utilising their skills and talents on community and not for profit projects.  If you are: (a) currently in receipt of Farm Assist, (b) have a herd number, a copy of your Single Farm Payment application and are in receipt of a qualifying payment from social welfare (www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Rural-Social-Scheme.aspx) then you (or your spouse) could benefit from the scheme in return for 19.5 hours of work in the community, (c) you will also be contributing to a class A stamp while on the scheme.  Work is available in all areas with hours to fit in with your farming needs. The following people are also permitted to participate in the scheme:  children or siblings of a qualifying herd owner provided they meet the necessary qualifying criteria.
