KILCORNAN GOING STRICTLY: Well, here we go, it’s all kicking off this week with our strictly dancers getting ready for their big production on Saturday November 26 in the South Court Hotel. We have almost found all our dancers from the parish, we are just short 3 male dancers and we are set. (the only credentials are that you are male and can move left to right the rest we can work on). Our dancers will be practicing for the next 7/8 weeks, the gunas are being ordered for the ladies, the shoes polished and the best suits are coming out for our male dancers.
We hope it will be a night that everyone in the parish will remember for a long time to come, a great night of fun and one that will raise badly needed funds for our Centre. We are asking for everyones support to make this night a success. Please come and support our dancers on the night, buy a ticket.
The Committee will shortly be contacting local people and companies with a view to placing an advert or two in our special programme that will be available for the occasion. We are also seeking a main sponsor for the night.
If you could help us with any of the above please contact one of our members below or contact 087 7781225 or email us on email@example.com.

TIDY TOWNS: The report has been received by the Tidy Towns committee outlining the positives and pointing out the areas in need of improvement.
Comments were made in relation to the following; the Landscaping at the grotto beside the school looks beautiful and container plants at the pub featured a beautiful floral
display. A landscape plan should form part of a multi annual plan. The Curragh Chase National Forest Park located within the centre of the village is an enviable amenity available to the community that many communities would love to have; its entrance enhances the visual amenity of the village too. The burial grounds feature an excellent presentation especially in relation to the roadside boundary wall and car parking area. The sports grounds are being neatly managed and the Karting Park looks good.
Well done on participation in the National Spring Clean and Team Limerick Clean Up in addition to regular evening litter patrols.
Congratulations to the pupils and teachers of the National school for their success in the Green Flag initiative. Two beautiful gardens each side of the road at the top of the Pallaskenry Road enhance the visual amenity of Kilcornan. Where feasible reveal and refurbish as much of old stone wall as possible along approach roads and entrances to a standard similar to that lining the entrance to the Forest Park.
For first time entrants this was a marvelous report despite the shortcomings in some areas, which the committee will endeavor to rectify during the year. Well done to everybody concerned.
