A kind, quiet lady she took an active part in all Community affairs, had an interest in all local sporting activities. Along with her late husband Jack they developed a big interest in greyhounds and they had many winners at Limerick and Tralee dog tracks. Peggy was laid to rest in Kilcornan Cemetery on Saturday last after Requiem Mass in St. John The Baptist Church concelebrated by Fr. Irwin, Fr. Bowen, Fr. O'Connor and Fr. O'Donnell.
