LOTTO: The result of the Kilcornan Lotto for Saturday August 6. The Jackpot was not won. Lucky dips drawn were, Anthony McDonagh, Muireann O'Gorman, Sean O'Shaughnessy and Teresa Delap. Next week the Jackpot will be €5,300.00.

 
CHURCH NEWS: Minister of the Word for Saturday August 13 is Kathleen Hayes and for Sunday August 14 is Pat Nash.  Ministers of the Eucharist are Ann O'Brien and Kathleen Hayes for Saturday. Ita O'Shaughnessy and Nora Murphy for Sunday.

 

RUN/WALK: Curraghchase 10K Run/Walk 2016: Sunday August 21, 12 noon at the Community Centre, Kilcornan, Co. Limerick.  Categories: Running, Walking. Whether you are an enthusiastic runner looking for a challenge or looking for a walk through some of Munster's most stunning scenery, then the Curraghchase 10km has it all. Now in its 5th year, the Curraghchase 10km Run/Walk is being held on  August 21, 2016 in conjunction with Enable Ireland.


TABLE QUIZ: A very successful table quiz organised by James 'Shaq' O'Shaughnessy in aid of Bru Columbanus was held in the Coach Inn last Friday night. Twenty eight teams of four participated to test their knowledge on a wide range of subjects. The winners were Owen O'Sullivan, Peter O'Dea, Darragh Goggin and Sean Behan. A big thank you to everyone who in any contributed to its success. Our resident quiz master Peter Kelly played a blinder ably assisted by Christine. Thanks to Maureen, Ann and staff at the Coach. The Charity will benefit by the amount collected which will be in the region of €4,000.00. Bru Columbanus is a charity that provides home from home accommodation to relatives of seriously ill patients in Cork or the Hospice. Well done to all concerned.

 

CANCER SOCIETY: We would like to thank everyone who supported us on Friday  August 5 at our Ceilí in the resource centre Knockaderry. A total of €1563 was raised for the Irish cancer society.

 

FUNDRAISER: There will be a fundraising Dance for West Limerick 102fm in the Hall Monagea on Friday august 19 from 9pm. Music by Mike Condon. Admission is €10. Raffle. Tea and coffee will be served.


SHANNON ESTUARY MUD SEARCH AND RESCUE: Shannon Estuary Mud Search and Rescue are holding the second Annual Clay Pigeon Shoot on August 21 at the Rosemount Shooting School, Cappagh, Co.Limerick. From September on we will be running water safety awareness programs.
